Hekatron SSD-531 Scattered Light Smoke Detector

Hekatron SSD-531 detects smouldering, glowing and open fires with smoke development at an early stage. Light emitter and light sensor are arranged in the sensing chamber in such a way that light from the emitter cannot strike the sensor directly. Only the light scattered from smoke particles (Tyndall effect) reaches the sensor and is converted into an electrical signal. If this reaches the alarm value, an alarm is automatically sent to the control panel. Because of the two advance warning levels, the detector is constantly monitored for soiling and reports its status continuously to the control panel. The self-check guarantees that the detector functions optimally. The detector sensitivity can be controlled from the control panel to a clearly defined extent.
