Consolidated Type 2900-40 Series Pilot Operated
Safety Relief Valves

The Consolidated Type 2900-40 Series Pilot Operated Safety Relief Valves is suitable for both incompressible and compressible applications and performs per code requirements on liquid, vapor or two-phase flow services. With the addition of a heat exchanger the limit of the Consolidated Type 2900-40 Series can be expanded to meet high temperature requirements up to 648.9°C (1200°F).

Maximum seat tightness during system startup
Operates at higher pressure without valve seat leakage
Able to operate at 98 percent of set pressure increasing throughput
Backpressure limits increased
Shorter blowdowns reduce steam loss
Maximum temperature 1200°F (649°C) with heat exchanger, heat exchanger required for temperatures above 505°F (263°C)
Meets ASME Section I code requirements with certification on steam and water
On site and in situ maintenance
Hydroplug not required since pilot can be gagged.
