The Tyco PSU830 (557.202.210) is a high-performance switch-mode power supply and battery charger designed to provide reliable power for MX fire detection systems. Capable of delivering up to 5A of external and auxiliary loop power during alarm conditions, it ensures consistent system operation while supporting demanding fire alarm applications.

Featuring a universal input voltage range of 100–264Vac, the PSU830 can operate in a wide variety of installations worldwide. Furthermore, its temperature-compensated charging technology helps maximize battery performance and service life by adjusting charging characteristics to suit ambient conditions.

In addition, the PSU830 continuously monitors system and battery status, providing detailed fault reporting for AC power loss, charger faults, battery faults, and earth faults. As a result, engineers can quickly identify and resolve issues, helping to maintain system reliability and compliance.

The PSU830 can also support a range of optional expansion modules, including power monitoring, fused output, input/output, and terminal modules, making it a flexible solution for larger and more complex fire detection systems.
