The Tyco TM520 Timer Module (557.180.423) provides a configurable timed output for MX fire alarm systems. When activated by either the integrated key switch or a predefined event within the fire alarm control panel, the module starts a countdown timer that can be set from 10 minutes up to 21 hours and 10 minutes. Once the countdown expires, the module activates its output automatically.

Furthermore, the TM520 clearly indicates its operating status using built-in LEDs and an internal buzzer. While the timer is counting down, the yellow LED remains illuminated. Once the output activates, the red LED and buzzer provide a clear indication of the active state. In addition, the module provides a warning during the final five minutes of the countdown by pulsing the red LED and buzzer, helping operators prepare for the pending activation.

The TM520 requires a separate 24V DC power supply and operates independently of the addressable loop, meaning it does not occupy an address on the fire detection system.
