The Tyco FV421I (516.300.421) is an intrinsically safe flame detector designed for dangerous areas where fast and reliable fire detection is critical. Using advanced Triple IR Solar Blind technology, it provides accurate flame detection with excellent immunity to false alarms, making it ideal for offshore, marine, petrochemical, and industrial applications.
The FV421I is highly sensitive to hydrocarbon fires and can reliably detect flames through dense smoke and solvent vapors. As a result, it helps increase the speed of fire detection while keeping consistent performance across its entire field of view. In addition, it can detect a wide range of hydrocarbon fuels, including alcohol, oil products, and aviation fuels.
For added reliability, the detector constantly monitors its optics and critical electronics through automatic self testing, helping to reduce maintenance requirements and ensure long-term performance.
