The Tyco MCP260M (514.001.112) is a weatherproof marine manual call point designed to provide a fast and reliable way to manually raise a fire alarm. When activated, the glass element releases an internal switch, immediately triggering an alarm signal and illuminating the integrated LED indicator for clear visual confirmation.
Furthermore, the switch activates only when the glass is broken, helping to prevent false alarms caused by accidental damage. At the same time, the protective plastic coating contains glass fragments and helps protect users from injury during operation. As a result, personnel can activate the alarm quickly and safely by simply breaking the glass. No hammer is required.
Additionally, for environments where accidental operation may be a concern, an optional transparent hinged cover can be fitted to provide extra protection while maintaining easy access in an emergency.
