Tyco MCP230 Outdoor Manual Call Point (514.001.110)

The Tyco MCP230 (514.001.110) is a conventional manual call point designed for reliable fire alarm activation in outdoor environments. To raise an alarm, users simply break the glass element, which immediately triggers an alarm condition and illuminates the integrated LED indicator for clear visual confirmation.

Furthermore, the MCP230 incorporates a protective plastic coating on the glass element to help prevent injury and contain glass fragments during operation. As a result, personnel can activate the alarm safely and confidently in an emergency.

In addition, the MCP230 features an anti-tamper function that enhances system security. If someone removes the cover without first isolating the device from the fire alarm panel, the call point automatically generates an alarm. A special release tool is required to open the cover, ensuring compliance with EN54-11 requirements.

For easier maintenance, engineers can replace the standard break-glass element with a resettable operating element. Consequently, they can reset the call point quickly after testing or activation without replacing the entire unit or installing additional components.
