Tyco 557.202.007 XLM800 Loop Expansion Module

The Tyco 557.202.007 XLM800 is a loop expansion module. The Tyco XLM800 fits “piggyback style” onto the FIM or an existing XLM800.

The Tyco XLM800 is used to:
Expand the capability of the MX4000C.I.E. two loop system to four six or eight loops
Replace the FIM loops in case of a failure on either a two or four loop system

The Tyco 557.202.007 XLM800 Loop Expansion Module controls the communications between the detectors (and other ancillaries) connected on the 2-wire loop circuits and the controller. In addition, the addressable interface contains line isolation circuits which protect the loop driver circuit from short-circuit conditions.
