One Device. Multiple Tests.
Fire safety compliance at sea demands reliable, efficient testing. The Testifire XTR2 is built exactly for that. It replaces the XTR1 as the new standard in detector testing, combining smoke, heat, and multi-criteria testing into one ergonomically designed unit.
The numbers speak for themselves. Up to 550 smoke tests per full battery charge, 800 bursts of smoke per registered cartridge, and a generator lifetime of around 8,000 smoke tests. For safety technicians working through large vessels on tight inspection schedules, this means fewer interruptions and more tests completed per shift.
Onboard practicalities are covered too. The XTR2 features an integrated LED torch and proximity sensor for low-light environments, plus an auto-clearing mode to prevent nuisance re-alarms. Its lightweight redesign makes it easier and safer to use at height. All consumables, including the battery, smoke generator, and cartridge, are field replaceable. No need to send the device ashore for servicing.
No Subscription.
One of the most common questions we receive about the XTR2 is around the DT Connect subscription. Here is the clear picture: the XTR2 can now be used for core fire detector testing without a subscription. No lock-in, no expiry.
The optional DT Connect Premium subscription unlocks advanced features such as shareable PDF test reports, full job history, and device inventory management. These are genuinely useful tools for fleet-wide compliance management, but they are not required for day-to-day testing operations.
This is a meaningful change from the earlier subscription model, and it makes the XTR2 a much more practical choice for operators who need a capable tester without the overhead of a software subscription.
