The Tyco MD601Ex 516.052.051.Y is a conventional, intrinsically safe, rate of rise heat detector. It uses 2 networked thermistors in a bridge configuration to provide a fast response, that both on absolute temperature and rate of rise of the temperature. The Rate-of-Rise/Fixed temperature heat detectors are designed for use in areas where smoke sensors are not suitable due to environmental conditions such as smoke or dust. Such areas include kitchens, locker rooms, canteens, garages, loading bays etc.
