The Fire Sentry SS4 is an electro-optical digital fire and flame detector with UV and UV/IR technology. The Fire Sentry SS4 senses radiant energy in the UV, visible and WideBand IR spectrum. The radiant energy emitted by flaming fires will alert the Fire Sentry SS4 to give an alarm. To reduce false alarms that will occur with UV, IR, Dual IR or UV/IR Detectors, the Fire Sentry SS4 requires that UV, visible and WideBand IR energy will be evaluated before declaring it a fire.
