Noris RP5/RPT5 Limit Value Switches

The Noris RP5/RPT5 Limit Value Switches are designed to monitor the temperature in a two-wire circuit. The resistance increases as the temperature rises, because of a platinum resistor that has a positive temperature coefficient. There is acces to a trimming potentiometer to permit a line compensation to be applied for Pt100 RTD limit-value switches. The PT1000 RTD's do not require such compensation because line resistance can  be neglected. Three measuring ranges are preparedfor better adoptation to the required measuring task. The settings of the switching point are made at the short top side of the switch trough a drum scale. The scale is graduated in degrees Celcius to suit specific measuring ranges. Any value on the drum scale can be selected as the switching point.
