Garbarino MMI Fire Fighting Naval Pump

The Garbarino MMI Electric Pump model MM 100/125 for 65 and 130 T/h with horizontal split casing consists of a pumping body of the centrifugal type and of two opposite impellers. The division of the body is on the horizontal plane in order ro reduce the axial thrust to a minimum, and to simplify the maintenance. The electric motor is an asynchronous three-phases type, connected to the pump by means of an elastic coupling mounted on a frame structure which is made of electro welded steel. The special balancing of the Garbarino MMI and the specific construction of the base determines the sturdiness of the unit which reduces the structural noise level transmitted to the hull to a minimum. Normally, the base is fixed to the hull after having introduced four resilient blocks which filter the noise transmitted by high frequencies.
