AlarmSense Integrating Optical Smoke Detector (55000-391)

The AlarmSense Integrating Optical Smoke Detector (55000-391) uses an internal pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle. When smoke enters the chamber, the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and registered by the photo-diode. The detector will then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED will light up. he detector also has the ability to monitor and discard the transient sources of smoke (such as cigarette smoke) in order to reduce unwanted alarms.
