Tyco MS502-EX Infra-red Flame Detector
The Tyco MS502-EX is designed to respond to fires involving flammable liquids like petrol or gases like methane.
The sensor has a high degree of noise immunity to deceptive phenomena and is particulary suitable for use in the protection of light industrial process plants, etc.
The flame sensor will typically give a response within three seconds and detects a 0.1 square meter petrol flame at 25m. The hybrid circuitry amplifiesand measures the signal from the sensor and simultaneously evaluates the characteristic flame flicker frequency. The encapsuled electronics transmit the sensed signal to the controller. The flame sensors require an unobstructed line of sight principle to see the flame.
