Spectrex 40/40L UV/IR Flame Detector

The Spectrex 40/40L is a combination of UV and IR sensors.

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The Spectrex 40/40L is a combination of UV and IR sensors. The IR sensor operates at a wavelength of 2.5-3.0 m. The 40/40L can detect hydrocarbon-based fuel and fires, hydroxyl and hydrogen fires, as well as metal and inorganic fires.

The Spectrex 40/40L UV/IR Flame Detector can sense radiant energy in the short wave section of both the UV and IR portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. Both sensors have signals that are analysed for frequency, intensity and duration. Simultaneous detection of radiant energy in both the UV and IR sensors will trigger an alarm signal. The UV sensor incorporates a special logic circuit that helps prevent false alarms caused by solar radiation.
