After a successful upgrade of the ballast control system for the Fjord, Lavastica International also received the order for the Fjell. For both ships, Lavastica supplied all the ballast sensors, zener barriers and custom made ball-valves with flanges. The Fjord and the Fjell are self propelled semi-submersible heavy transport vessels. The are mainly used to transport large floating and non-floating equipment used in the offshore and gas industry, such as drilling rigs, floating production platforms, modules and more.
